Paintball Safety - The 10 Commandments

What do you think of this idea. Could we create a list of 10 or 5 basic safety rules that will apply across the board to all paintball disciplines? Try these to start.

1. You MUST have an approved paintball MASK to play

2. You MUST wear this MASK at all times when on the field and playing paintball

3. You MUST never shoot at people whom do not have a MASK

4. You MUST own a BARREL SOCK if you have a marker

5. You MUST have the BARREL SOCK on the marker UNTIL TOLD OTHERWISE

6. Your marker MUST be shooting below 300FPS to be legal

7. You MUST always OBEY the MARSHAL

8. You MUST never pour oil into the fill nipple of your HPA tank

9. You MUST RESPECT each other and ENJOY the game

10. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR MASK

Generally: Where SOCKS OFF => MASKS ON

Never ever ever ever be lax and say: oh sure, the marker's off, the air's off, theres no pballs in the hopper/breech, bla bla bla..

Basically, no exceptions no matter what?

I like it. Wiping not that much safety but perhaps it can be used in a general paintball one

un-necessary welts was where i was trying to come from but fair point about the wiping!

get the ok from a marshall/site operator before test firing or removing your mask?

Never aim a marker, regardless of whether it has a barrel sock, hopper or tank attached, or whether it is on or off, at anything you don't intend to shoot.

how about gloves must be worn....like look at my avatar..that was my mates hand over 15 yards with a tippman 98

2. You MUST never shoot at people when not in a game.

3. You MUST own a BARREL SOCK if you have a marker and use it at all times until told otherwise.

4. Your marker MUST be shooting below the field FPS limit to be legal

5. You MUST always OBEY the MARSHAL

6. You MUST never pour oil into the fill nipple of your HPA tank

7. You MUST RESPECT each other and ENJOY the game

8. Bonus ball cheaters

Maybe 5 safety rules might be better and then a summary of all the other rules i.e. wiping, dead man don't talk, bonus balling etc.

Ya that could work. Keeping it as broad as possible to it can be applied to all paintball, woodsball, speedball etc.
