The Christmas Raffle is back again folks.
Last Year's Raffle saw well over €1,000 worth or prizes being given away. Let's do even better again this year while at the same time raising some money for the
Temple Street Children's Hospital. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards the charity. The charity was picked by the PaintBaller.ie Community in a recent
poll. There were many deserving charities on the short list, but sticking to one is the best option for this considering the relatively small amounts of money involved. The aim is to give at
least half of the ticket sales to charity, the rest will go towards prizes.
How it works?
A ticket number for the raffle costs
€5. During the christmas party in mid December, all the valid numbers will be placed into a hat and drawn per prize. If your number is pulled out, then you win that prize. Easy Right. The prizes range from T-shirts, DVD's right up to Masks and Loaders.
You are
not limited to how many times you can enter. The more tickets that you buy, the more chances you have of winning a prize. The average spend is 2 x tickets, i.e. €10. There were a few big spenders last year who came out very well from the raffle
Prizes for the raffle come from a number of ways. There are a lot of generous paintball companies and even none paintball related companies who have donated something as a prize. Some individuals also offer something as a prize or even want to donate a set amount anyway.. Some of the ticket sales money goes towards buying some specific prizes also. At least half of the tickets sales will go towards the charity and the other hald towards getting prizes. The more companies that sponsor prizes, the more money for charity.
The prize pool will grow every few days, so keep checking on it to see what's on offer. It will be a bumper prize pool this year
How can I enter?
First things first.
Post below how many tickets that you want to buy. When you post up a figure, I will be assuming that it is as good as sold. Reneging on this, a charity event is bad form. Once you state how many you want, payment can be sorted out. You can purchase a number and enter the draw a number of ways as outlined below:
- Give me cash when ever I see you next
- Pay by paypal + any fee's involved
- Pledge to pay cash on the night of the draw
- By cheque - made out to the charity.
Once you have paid or pledge to pay, your name along with your ticket number(s) will be posted below. The more people that buy tickets, the more prizes that will be on offer and the more money that will be raised for charity.

Some Terms and Conditions - Each ticket is €5
- Raffle is open to anybody, not just PaintBaller.ie Members
- In posting in this thread that you want tickets, it is assumed that they are good as bought. Reneging will be taking seriously... its for charity after all.
- You can pay on the night, but before if possible. If you are not attending, then you need to pay before the night
- I will take paypal (€5.50) for people who can not make it on the night or any folk up north. Not all tickets will be 5.50 by paypal depending on quantity, pm me for details
- You will be issued ticket numbers here. You will get a number for each ticket that you buy
- One one prize per ticket i.e. as each ticket is drawn it does not go back into the hat.
- A number will be drawn for a prize and this will correspond with a persons name on the list above
- All valid tickets will be entered into a hat and drawn until all the prizes have been given away
- You can enter as many times as you like and can win as many prizes as you have valid tickets
- Prizes may not be given out on the night but at a later date, depending on the prize
- All ticket sales are final, no refunds
- If you require shipping of a prize to any destination, you will be responsible for the cost
- Posting here indicates that you are pledging to buying a ticket and none payment will be taken very seriously
- Terms and Conditions can be changed at any time...not nothing major
