Some of my post got deleted
Dear Mods
I wrote informative post for those considering the trip to CtD3. To my surprise half of my post got somehow deleted.
I only found out after I got back from work last night.
Another surprising thing is that in the footnote it said: last modified by me at 16 46, which is odd because at that time I was on my way to work and no one else was at home, so there's no chance anybody on my end was using my laptop.
The thread is this:
http://www.paintballer.ie/woodsball/...-revealed.html
and it was my first post on second page
Could you shed a bit of light on this??
Cause I am confused as to how it is possible.
Thank you

If i mod edits your post their name will appear at the bottem of the post, along with a reason for the edit. It could be as simple as a little glitch in that system that had half your post removed, try re-writting it perhaps ? If it disappears again, then take up arms.

Unmodified
Hi Loki,
From what I can see no-one modified the post. If we open a post for for editing it gets our name tagged to it - even if we don't change anything.
Mods can't access your account. Richie would not be able to edit as you as he would first have to change your password - then replace his temp password with your real one - not easy or likely. Unless he is naughty and keeps them in plaintext - but why bother.
Sorry I can't provide a proper answer. All I can say is that for long posts in any forum or content management system I tend to type in Google docs or text pad and copy the text out.

Hi Loki,
No, this is the correct place.
As rob said, I can't see and records to show that any one edited your post except you. What can happen some times 'submit reply' that you may have a temporary network time out which results in a lost of the data been sent. It rarely happens, but it happened a few times to me on a bad mobile internet connection.
Another thing that may have happened is that you hit 'preview' instead of 'submit reply' by accident and not saving any thing.
I have sent you a PM to show the number of edits that were performed on that thread.
Thread Locked for future reference.
