I suppose you could argue that because its online, their costs are lower so they put less care into it as it really doesn'y matter how well it does. Hence lower quality writing etc.
I was just going through Splat XD and I can't restrain myself from creating this topic.
Is it just me or are the magazines being more stupid and infantile?
If you look at Splat XD - http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/...6f#/fd37cf6f/1
you'll see people looking down the barrel, pointing markers at their heads and commercials having "Play good, Look better" as the main slogan.
Jesus..

Nice one Eoin, just write off my entire profession as low quality you giant douche!Originally Posted by eoin99";p="59542
Nah I know what you mean, but I think you're wrong anyway. I think the problem is, is that most of the products are just aimed at immature douches who care more about looking good than playing good. Like people who wear HK products. Yeah I said it.
Also, lets not forget that the videos are usually of the lost generation of american mind numbingly retarded kids who grew up watching Jackass.
Yeah, I said that too.
Yeah seriously the slogan should be "Play well"!!! Learn some grammar gosh!!!"Play good, Look better" as the main slogan.
Got in there before ming!!! booyea
most of the guys on the american mags are probably all on the nation every day! Their vocabulary would only stretch as far as ; RTFM IMHO IDK GTFO SHENS ROTFLMAO LOL and that fashion one that i don't really get!
The jackass generation? The nation's generation of keyboard warriors more like!
I wouldn't dare.Originally Posted by davejfox";p="59547
Web design and online mags are quite different. Web design is about taking content and making it as easy to access and attractive as possible. Online mags have to also create good content. My point is that when there is less at stake (ie no costs of printin in the 10's of thousands) then there is less focus on quality of content.
I would not even call that a magazine to be honest, it is just a brochuer for all the new gear out.

IDK= I dont know
GTFO= Get the fook out
Short for shenanigans. Dates back to travelling carnival days in America, if you called shenanigans on a booth, it meant the trick (e.g. put the ball through a hole) was impossible or rigged, and an investigation would be launched by the sheriff/worthy townspeople.
See South Park episode, Cow Days.
In PBNation daily usage, it is used to express disbelief at claims of users, with the hidden implication that they have to provide more concrete evidence for their post to be taken seriously.
I got called shens on pbnation for saying I'd shot a Joy A1 Fly. Dusty shows up a few hours later with pics all over the place..Sweet justice![]()
