Some rules clarification if you please:

A referees meeting will be held on the morning of each tournament and the time and location of this meeting will be 0800hrs
We know well that this is not going to happen

2.01 : Teams must consist of players enrolled in full-time third-level education, in a recognised institute of learning in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland

2.04a All players must be a current student or staff member and have an ID card to prove enrollment.

2.04b All players will carry their student card on them at all times. Referees will be doing spot checks before and after games.

2.04c Any player found not in possession of a valid student ID will be disqualified and their team will be penalized.
So are staff members allowed then?

8.01b Markers bearing any significant resemblance to any “real-world” firearm are prohibited. This includes barrel attachments and any optical additions to the marker.
I know certain people on the organising committee have a thing against mil-sim markers, but will this mean that people can not use an A-5 / X-7 / TM-7 which are all modeled off 'real-world firearms''. Will a tippmann 98 with a stock be banned?

Barrels which are capable of altering the trajectory of a paintball (ie Apex or Flatlines) are not permitted.

8.11 During a game barrel socks must be carried by the players and be able to be used at any time required.
Will these be provided with the rental markers?

10.03 Any militaristic equipment or clothing is prohibited, with the exception of any equipment rented from the event site.
So the rental Camo clothing is ok, but bringing your own is not?

33.03 On the day of the Event, if the tournament organizer(s) are participating in the event, event control will be deferred to a non-bias external party. This party can modify the rules as in section 33.01.
Just to clear up, some body else can come in and make any changes to the rules as they like??

Remember lads, is not the millennium series and its hard enough to get teams to enter with out any over jealous rules.

Would that not mean the organisers are leaving the option to play if they so desire?

Only STUDENTS with a VAILD ID can play.

Stock 98's are not banned, all others will be at the discretion of the head ref/organizer on the day.

All Rentals will be provided with barrel socks, as will anyone who has their own marker with no barrel sock.

The rental overalls on the day will be plain green ones.

Yes trinity wish to play, so event control will be passed on to someone not involved with any of the current event planning or competing 3rd level teams.
Rule 33.01 is provided so any unforseen circumstances not covered by the rules can be ammend is the fairest and most logical way. It is not there to be abused.
